Chomarat's C-GRID carbon fibre part of BIG 5 Dubai expo

C-GRID enables precast constructions to be thinner, lighter, durable, and less costly compared to conventional precast and other building systems. C-Grid thin walls are greener, lighter and stronger, because non-corrosive carbon fibres require less protective concrete, are durable, as C-GRID offers outstanding crack control, and are attractive and versatile, with limitless design options, according to a press release.

B&R Building Materials will exhibit together with Verheyen Precast, a leading manufacturer of precast constructions. Since 2011 Verheyen is using successfully C-GRID, a carbon fibre mesh with an epoxy coating produced by Chomarat in its precast constructions.

John Leatham, Chomarat North America, sales and marketing director, “For architectural cladding or insulated wall panels, precast concrete is improved by integrating ultra-strong, non-corrosive C-GRID into the wall panel during fabrication. Taking the place of steel reinforcement, C-GRID is a real enabling technology, providing better factory-made precast concrete elements.”
