The two have signed an agreement in this connection. Film made from Halar ECTFE with additional plasma treatment provides excellent adhesion to composite substrates and superior aesthetic surface aspects.

Solvay and SGL Carbon have joined hands to bring to market composite materials based on large-tow intermediate modulus (IM) carbon fibre. The two have signed a joint development agreement. These materials will help reduce costs and carbon dioxide emissions, and improve the production process and fuel efficiency of next-generation commercial aircraft.
