Lenzing completes expansion of pulp plant at Lenzing site

Lenzing AG, a producer of pulp and specialty fibres from renewable raw material wood, has concluded its expansion and modernisation drive at the pulp plant at the Lenzing site. The company invested €60 million for this purpose, increasing production capacities for dissolving pulp extracted from beech wood from 300,000 to 320,000 tons per year.

Lenzing expands offering for nonwovens in new facility

The Lenzing Group is expanding its offering of solutions for the cosmetics, hygiene, and medical sectors. Heiko Arnold, chief technology officer of the company, and Jürgen Lehmann, president of Hof University of Applied Sciences in Saale, Germany, have signed a cooperation agreement to utilise a new spun-lacing line for nonwoven applications.
