A prototype of a special gas storage tank designed by the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) and DuPont will be on display at the Dayton Marriott. An early version of the compressed gas storage tank will be at display during a national gathering of the Institute for Advanced Composite Manufacturing Innovation, also known as “IACMI.”

Ashland is working with Michelman, Zoltek Corporation, University of Dayton Research Institute, and Michigan State University to develop optimised vinyl ester resin/fibre sizing/carbon fibre combinations that demonstrate quantifiable improvements in the quality of the resin-fibre interface with resins, sizings, and carbon fibres from the participants.

The Composite Recycling Technology Centre (CRTC) under a new contract with a national manufacturing institute will pioneer ways to automate processing of carbon fibre composite pre-preg scrap.
