Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker has extended its contract with Airborne for manufacture of composite overhang panels. Airborne combines know-how of process automation with experience in hands-on manufacturing of composite parts. Airborne is able to commission bespoke machines, to manufacture composite structures for the aerospace market at low cost.

Evonik is investing in expansion of its performance foams capacity at its production facility in Darmstadt, Germany by 20 per cent. The company will be adding new production equipment at the complex of its subsidiary, Evonik Resource Efficiency, with the expanded production capacity expected to be operational by the second half of 2017.

Composites fabrics producer Hexcel will be showcasing composite materials for automotive, wind energy and recreation markets at Composites Europe to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany from November 29 to December 1, 2016. At the show the company will be promoting multiaxial fabrics, fast curing CFRP products, pultruded profiles and a new film adhesive.
