Curt G. Joa, Inc. has invited hygiene manufacturers to its Innovation and Technology Tour to commemorate its 85th anniversary. The tour that began on April 24, will be held until June 30 at Joa's headquarters in Sheboygan Falls (US). The tour will feature the latest technology and offerings available in the market including Joa's latest baby diaper line.

The J8T-B, Joa's diaper line runs at speeds above 1200 products per minute and headlines the tour. In addition, individual technology displays, such as the Gentle Touch Folder, demonstrate the expertise that comes from 85 years of designing and building solutions for production problems.

"We invite producers to visit us and see the difference that 85 years of experience makes. Our pioneering culture keeps our focus on cutting edge research and inventive technology, which ensures continued success for customers in the future," said Paula Inda, corporate director of global sales & marketing, Curt G. Joa.

In 1930, founder and German immigrant, Curt G. Joa was given an opportunity to design an automated process to produce sanitary napkins. After demonstrating a working model of the process, he was commissioned to make the first machine on October 8, 1931. In 1932, he received his first patent and established an engineering-consulting company bearing his name.

"The idea that an entrepreneur such as my grandfather could immigrate to the US and start a successful business during the Great Depression is remarkable. As we enter into our 85th year, we still hold the values that he instilled – that good customer relationships lead to success," said Curt G. Joa, Inc. President Gene Kiela II.

In their third generation of family ownership, Curt G. Joa, Inc. now includes the Joa and Bikoma brands, with operations in the US, Germany and India. As the company reflects on its past and looks toward the future, they will showcase their current product portfolio to demonstrate their latest technology.

Joa, a global leader of custom and premium machinery to produce disposable products, utilises its own independently developed and patented technologies in its machinery. Bikoma, a top manufacturer, developer and designer of special machines for the hygiene industry, focuses on constantly improving the technology and quality of its products. (KD)
