Geofabrics, Australian based geosynthetics supplier has been shortlisted for two awards in the 2016 manufacturers' monthly Endeavour Awards. Geofabrics' Elcorock coastal protection system has been shortlisted in the 'environmental solutions' category. Trinet and Flownet geonet geocomposite drainage systems has been shortlisted in the 'industrial products' category. Announcement of the winner for each category will be made on May 12, 2016 at Sydney.

The Elcorock system consists of sand-filled geotextile containers built to form a stabilising, defensive barrier against coastal erosion. The geotextile containers are made from Texcel, a durable staple fibre geotextile. Elcorock system can withstand coastal abrasion, vandalism, UV damage and even category 5 cyclones.

Trinet geonet is a lightweight triple layer drainage mesh used in landfills and waste containment structures, providing fast, efficient, high-load leachate drainage. Flownet is a lightweight drainage net used on landfill caps, tunnels and behind retaining walls and bridge abutments, protecting structures against high water pressure. (NA)
