Durashine steals the show at Pattaya Boat Show

Outdoor furniture made from fabrics of Durashine fibre material – a superior quality solution dyed acrylic fibre – were displayed at the Pattaya boat show.

ESG, Thai Acrylic partner for outdoor yarn range

European Spinning Group (ESG) has partnered with Thai Acrylic Fibre to develop a new generation of solution dyed acrylic yarns for outdoor applications. This yarn range is marketed under brand name 'ESG RA Outdoor' powered by Durashine fibre suitable for various outdoor applications including awnings, outdoor-furniture, carpets and marine exterior etc.

Tamil Nadu govt, SVPITM to train textile entrepreneurs

The department of handlooms and textiles of the Tamil Nadu government in association with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPITM) will organise a series of workshops, seminars and conferences in technical textiles for the young and budding entrepreneurs. The workshops beginning from May 17 includes three phases.

Indonesia’s dependence on imports for specialty textiles for special purposes has led several big domestic firms to either start or boost production of such materials, according to the Indonesian Association of Synthetic Fiber Producers (APSyFI), which feels the government should lower gas prices and other costs as such textiles need higher investment.

Sweden based odour control technology supplier Polygiene has signed a partnership with Fogni, a South Korean manufacturer of fibre filling for applications in home textiles, furniture and mattresses for use at home, hospitals and hotels. This agreement will enable Fogni to supply safe, antibacterial and odour free fibre filling to its clients.
