Professionals from over 100 countries are expected to attend the three-day annual event on composites in Paris, JEC World. The show hopes to facilitate interaction between the composites industry and the final market. Besides the composites industry, architects, creators, developers, designers and style engineers are also expected at the event.
The show, being organised from March 14 to 16, will see six conferences involving 53 speakers from around the world. The topics such as aeronautics, trends in automotive industry and composites as a worthy alternative to traditional materials in the construction industry would be deliberated upon in these conferences.
"Innovation is at the centre of the show. Incremental or disruptive innovation in composites makes the success of JEC World. The new paradigms of our century are lightness, resistance, flexibility, customisation, cycles acceleration. Composites meet this quest," says Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group president and CEO.
"During the last twelve months, we have worked hard to analyse end-users' requirements. We have shaped the show to facilitate the interaction between the composites industry and the final market," she adds.
Following the success of the "Planets" last year, the organisers are bringing them back in even bigger areas with brand new parts and new end-users focuses. There would be the Aero Planet, the Auto Planet and two new Planets - the Building Planet and the Better Living Planet.
JEC has also published the first book ever on composites solutions in construction for the show.
During the second day of the show, there would be an exclusive gathering of top level producers, manufacturers and users of composites in the automotive industry to discuss the topic "Collaborative process in the automotive industry, learning experience from the state of Michigan". (SV)
