Michelman hires Andrew Michelman as new BD director

Michelman, a global developer and manufacturer of environment-friendly advanced materials for industry, offering solutions for the coatings, printing & packaging, and industrial manufacturing markets, has appointed Mr. Andrew Michelman as its new director of business development.

Mr. Michelman will be responsible for supporting the company's aggressive strategic growth initiatives globally. He will work closely with Michelman's corporate development team that is engaged in acquisitions, joint ventures, and all non-organic growth of the company. Mr. Michelman's duties will include working with external advisors, as well as associates throughout Michelman, to identify acquisition opportunities. He will be responsible for all aspects of closure among identified opportunities including due diligence, financing, investment analysis, negotiations, and integration of key acquisition targets, according to a press release.

He brings 20 years of global acquisition experience having worked extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. He has worked in investment banking with Citigroup in New York and London, and in a strategy and corporate development role with Europe based manufacturer, Vaillant Group. He most recently served as a principal of a private equity investment group located in Birmingham and London. He has also served on Michelman's Board of Directors since 1999.
