Net income expands at Andritz Group in 2016

Net income, without non-controlling interests expanded to a record figure of €274.6 million in 2016 at Austria based nonwovens technologies manufacturer Andritz Group as against €267.7 million in the prior year. Sales amounted to €6,039 million, a decrease of 5.3 per cent below the all time high sales record of €6,377.2 in the previous year.

In the reporting year, order intake amounted to €5,568.8 million, but was 7.5 per cent below €6,017.7 million, the company attained in 2015.

The order backlog at the end of 2016 stood at €6,789.2 million, also down 7.3 per cent year on year, while, despite decline in sales, EBITA rose to €442.1 million, up 3.1 per cent versus €429.0 million in 2015. EBITA margin also rose to 7.3 per cent in 2016 vis-à-vis 6.7 per cent in 2015. (AR)
