 Mike Gorey, President and CEO of Propex Operating Company LLC, communicated an adjustment in the production schedule at the Propex Ringgold and Nashville, Georgia facilities.
"The positive transformation of our company is progressing nicely and we have many accomplishments to be proud of in 2012," said Gorey.
"That said, geotextile demand is soft due to lower precipitation levels, fewer abnormal weather events and reductions in military and government spending. As part of our strategic growth initiative, balancing production levels with marketplace demand will help to establish discipline in the geotextile and infrastructure markets that we serve."
In Gorey's announcement, he also expressed his appreciation for the support of the entire Propex team and looks forward to continued growth in 2012, including the recently announced relocation of the corporate headquarters to downtown Chattanooga.
