Norafin Industries has recently inaugurated its first American production site in Mills River, North Carolina. The site with a new state-of-the-art spunlace line and modern lab and offices is expected to create 45 new positions by the end of 2018. Norafin has invested around €20 million in the new production facility in the last 12 months.

DuPont Safety & Construction, a business unit of DowDuPont Specialty Products Division, plans to invest more than $400 million to increase capacity for the manufacture of Tyvek nonwoven materials at its facility in Luxembourg. R2G, which owns majority interest in Pegas Nonwovens, is taking over 100 per cent of First Quality’s nonwovens operations in the US and China. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be completed early in the third calendar quarter of 2018.
