Germany’s Voith acquires Swedish start-up Yangi

Germany’s Voith has acquired shares in the sustainability start-up Yangi, headquartered in Varberg, Sweden. Yangi’s ground-breaking technology emerges from ten years of R&D within its sister company, The Loop Factory, which focuses on the megatrends of sustainability and circular economy. Yangi manufactures next-generation fibre-based solutions.

Germany’s Freudenberg offers tech textiles with 35% less CO2 emissions

By using a high share of recycled content in its Evolon materials, German firm Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) offers technical packaging textiles with a 35 per cent reduction in carbon footprint. An independent life cycle assessment (LCA) study showed additional benefits such as energy resource savings and lower water use.

US’ Novolex invests $10 million in Indiana recycling expansion

United States-headquartered Novolex, a leader in packaging choice, innovation and sustainability, has announced that it is investing $10 million to expand capacity to recycle plastic bags and other polyethylene film at its recycling facility in North Vernon, Indiana. This plant is one of two world-class film recycling facilities operated by the company.

Germany’s Freudenberg to launch reusable packaging at Fachpack 2022

Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) will present its sustainable Evolon product range for reusable technical packaging for highly-sensitive parts at Fachpack 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany from September 27-29. The microfilament textiles offer improved surface protection for moulded plastic parts, painted parts, and so-called class A parts.

US’ H.B. Fuller partners with Enimac to strengthen e-comm packaging
