PGI rolls out new brand identity 'Avintiv'

PGI is rolling out a new corporate brand and identity and has selected ‘Avintiv’ as it new company name, which it said aligns with its commitment to developing and delivering high-impact solutions.

PGI added that the concept behind the Avintiv name comes from a combination of the words ‘Advanced’, ‘Inventive’ and ‘Innovative’ and represents its efforts to bring value to customers.

“The unveiling of our new name is the culmination of our successful efforts to transform into a unified specialty materials company,” said Joel Hackney, Avintiv CEO in a press release.

“Over the past 18 months we have worked hard to bring four companies together to create a powerful portfolio of technologies, products and services,” he added.

The Avintiv name embodies our progress, our scale, and our ambitions to continue driving growth and innovation,” Hackney informed.

PGI also added that it has expanded its portfolio significantly and the new name will be distinctive, memorable, and relevant across all three focus areas; Infection Prevention, Personal Care, and High Performance Solutions.

Its Infection Prevention business develops materials that help keep people healthy by blocking or reducing the spread of infectious substances.

The Personal Care business provides materials that enhance people’s lifestyles through improved comfort, convenience, discretion, or appearance.

While the High Performance Solutions business offers materials that deliver a performance over existing and alternative technologies for infrastructure and transportation end customers.

In connection with this new name, PGI has unveiled the new logo for Avintiv, which is built on bold colours and confident shapes, which are representative of the impact its solutions have on the world.

The company is changing the name of its parent company from PGI Specialty Materials to Avintiv as the first step in a broader identity transformation.

PGI will register similar name changes for many of its operating subsidiaries and will roll out a new branding and identity concept in the coming weeks and months.

Avintiv is one of the world’s leading developers, producers and marketers of specialty materials used in infection prevention, personal care and high performance solutions.
