Polyone to start specialty materials production in India

Supplier of specialised polymer materials, services and solutions, Polyone Corporation said it expects to start production of specialty engineered materials at its existing facility in Pune, India in January 2017. The production of these materials will enable the company to support customers better and also increase their speed to market.

The Indian facility will initially produce specialty engineered polymer materials used in high performance applications that need flame retardant properties, high strength, durability, stiffness, chemical resistance, etc.

"We are excited and proud to have furthered our commitment to customers in India, through local production of our leading specialty engineered materials and strengthened by sales and technical support personnel," Craig Nikrant, president, specialty engineered materials at Polyone said. (AR)
