EDANA releases updated regulatory information guide

The global association serving the nonwovens and related industries EDANA has launched the updated version of its ‘Safety and Regulatory Supply Chain Information for Absorbent Hygiene Products’ guide. The new version has been updated with the latest references to current regulatory information and also covers related guidance for the industry.
The guide was re-launched by EDANA at a webinar, which looked at the regulations and guidelines in the EU for placing absorbent hygiene products on the market.
According to EDANA, both suppliers and manufacturers need to be familiar with the different EU rules to put products on the EU market.
“In addition to legal requirements, there are also voluntary practices such as guidelines and industry standards which play an important role in the hygiene industry,” it said. (AR)
