Portuguese manufacturer of technical clothing Damel is exploring the maritime market in UAE, through the commercialisation of its latest innovation, the SeaB2, a protective maritime technology. The SeaB2 is used as a part of regular clothing, whether jacket, overalls or vest and is built on the outside of a lifejacket and is completely unnoticeable.

The SeaB2 inflation system is activated automatically as soon as it hits the water and it is the only system, worldwide, with a lifejacket that allows the user to swim crawl and access the nearest vessel or platform.

The technology allows the user complete freedom of movement and can be used when sailing, fishing and other water sports or by oil and naval station workers.

The materials used in SeaB2 have a high resistance to tearing and perforation and in addition to being waterproof and heat-insulated, come with a built-in harness and lifeline, which allows for helicopter rescues at sea. (AR)
