Ontex Group completes acquisition of HM Personal Hygiene

Belgium headquartered producer of personal hygiene products Ontex Group NV has completed the acquisition of the personal hygiene business of Hypermarcas S.A. HM Personal Hygiene is the market leader in the adult incontinence category, while also holding number three position in babycare in Brazil, the fourth largest hygiene market in the world.
"The agreement for the acquisition was previously announced by Ontex Group in December 2016 and the statutory conditions have now been fulfilled," Ontex said.
According to Ontex, going forward, more than 50 per cent of its revenue will come from outside Western Europe, and more than 50 per cent of group revenue will come from Ontex owned brands. (AR)
