NASA has selected Axiom Space to deliver a moonwalking system for the Artemis III mission, which will land Americans on the surface of the Moon for the first time in over 50 years. The United States’ Department of Defense (DOD) has entered into a shared $6.8 million agreement with Burlington Industries, LLC to sustain and strengthen the domestic clothing and textile industrial base. The firm will invest in equipment and infrastructure necessary to sustain and stabilise the supply chain of dress military fabrics for the DoD.

Researchers in Canada have discovered why a high-performance fabric commonly used in protective garments weakens prematurely when it’s exposed to moisture. They found that sulphur content in some high-performance fabrics weakens them when exposed to moisture. That degradation weakens the safety of protective garments when exposed to different elements.

Invention company InventHelp, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, the US, has created a PPE mask that offers coverage for the entire head. Along with added protection, the new PPE mask also ensures that the user has a fresh filtered air supply.
