Supplier of specialty chemical products, Sika has acquired FRC Industries, a producer of high quality synthetic polypropylene fibres for concrete with a solid base in eastern United States. This acquisition will accelerate Sika's US growth and establish Sika as a comprehensive supplier of trusted solutions for all aspects of construction.

According to Sika, this acquisition positions the company as a concrete additive supplier that can produce and supply a complete line of high quality construction products.

Sika's product portfolio will now include high performance polycarboxylate water reducers, waterproofing admixtures, integral color and now micro synthetic, macro synthetic and steel concrete fibres.

“The acquisition of FRC Industries is yet another strong statement to the market and our customers,” Christoph Ganz, CEO of Sika North America said. “We are proud to welcome FRC's employees into the Sika team and we are excited about growing our businesses together.” (AR)
