Chaos Headwear was recently honored at the SnowSports Industry trade show-SIA in Las Vegas, NV with the Ski Press Innovation Award. This award comes as a welcome recognition of years of testing and development by the Chaos Brand.

The award is designed to recognize manufactures making new progress in product development that furthers the snow sports industry in positive impactful ways. For example, what Gore-tex once did for cold weather conditions and what wider shape skis have done for new extreme freeskiing. The categories of recognition were: culture, sexy, skill and smart.

Chaos was one of five companies awarded from an exhibitor attendance of 453 and a total of 348,254 square feet of exhibiting space. The editors and writers researched and culled attendees to determine the most worthy manufactures.

“We are beaming with this award, we are grateful for the recognition, this program has taken devotion--the margins are lean and the development time consuming, but we know it is the right direction,” explains US Sales Director Gary Supple.

The award highlights the brand's commitment to the strongest environmental hat programs on the market. Chaos calls it 'ENVIRO-TECH,' - it reflects an ever-increasing sensitivity to the environment and the demand for products that address both function and action. As a forerunner in the sustainable category, Chaos continues to expand its offering to consumers with the introduction of the new CHAOS GREEN RECYCLED RAGGWOOL program, which makes use of post-consumer pop bottles to create resilient and cozy accessories without the guilt. Every product in this category is lined with recycled fleece, while Organic cotton and bamboo continue as part of our staple offering under the CHAOS GREEN label.

Furthermore, Chaos Green has a commitment to safe dyes: All the hats in the CHAOS GREEN label have a commitment to safe dyes, with responsible manufacturing extending to color as well. The Chaos Green line uses only 'low impact dyes' that have less toxic run-off into drains, oceans and ground water and our non-chemical dyes are made exclusively from vegetable and root powders.

In addition to the Green label, Chaos has a sister brand, Moon Shadow, within this brand, there is the 'Peru collection.' This collection is equally special and unique in its sustainability mission. It is a small-individualized collection of hand-knit higher-end headwear sourced in the Alti-plano Mountains of Peru. The 'Head knitters Guild' is a small network supplier of 25 indigenous mountain pueblos producing custom headwear for Moon Shadow. The hats range from sophisticated colorful Peruvian styles to playful animal portrayals—ideal for urban fashion boutiques. They are now in their fourth year of development supplying both 100% alpaca hats and acrylic blends hats.

Chaos' is quality, responsiveness and a vast array of headgear possibilities. The Brand is owned by Do-Gree fashions,a Mill locally owned and operated—with three generations of experience. Do-Gree Fashions in Montreal, Canada is able to respond quickly to both customer requests, as well as fast-paced market trends, both of which translate to unparalleled service. Designs from both CHAOS and sister brand MOON SHADOW vary from winter to four-season, urban to alpine, casual to high-end alpaca, all of which supply the men's, women's and youth markets.
