Teijin releases Integrated Report 2017

Japan’s technology firm Teijin Limited has announced the release of Integrated Report 2017, which covers the company's financial information, management strategies and corporate social responsibility activities. The report also covers the group’s research and development strategy, seen as a core component of the company’s sustainable growth.

With a focus on sustainable business and social development, it covers materiality in the context of corporate social responsibility, a further key issue for the Teijin Group. It also talks about individual policies and 2016 business performance in the specific areas of environmental impact reduction, diversity and corporate governance—all highlighted in the new medium-term management plan as important means of strengthening the group’s management foundations.

The report also focuses on the company's growth strategy, based on its medium-term management plan for environment, safety, security and disaster mitigation solutions and demographic change and increased health consciousness solutions.

Teijin president and CEO Jun Suzuki has explained the company's vision of creating new value, centered on its new medium-term management plan for 2017-2019, entitled 'Always Evolving', and his aspirations in this vision. In a special feature, the managements of the materials business field, healthcare business field, global business strategy and information & innovation strategy have also explained their strategies for future development, entitled 'Establish New Business to Reshape the Future and the Supporting Management Base.'
