Prof. Suman Pant

Dr. Suman Pant completed her M Sc. with specialization in clothing and textile from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and Ph.D. from Banasthali University, Rajasthan. Currently, she is working as a professor in clothing and textile at the Faculty of Home Science, Banasthali University. She has 25 years of diversified experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students along with research experience.

Dr. Suman has guided more than 100 PG students and research scholars on a wide range of topics related to clothing and textiles which include eco-friendly dyeing, printing and finishing of textile; blending of natural and manmade fibres, consumer studies, innovative techniques for designing and construction of garments for value, rejuvenation of traditional textiles, documentation of costumes and textiles etc. She is also a member of the academic body of several universities and life member of several professional organizations. She has presented many papers at several national and international conferences.

Dr. Suman has around 40 papers on her credit. She is also the author of a book "Wool and wool blend finishing" which deals with resin finishing of wool and wool blend fabrics.
