The Fiber Year 2009/10 is the tenth issue to describe indetail developments in the worlds manmade fiber, spun yarn and Nonwovenindustry. Its target is to provide a comprehensive picture on the textileindustry. Statistical information is instrumental in achieving an overallimpression and inevitable to disclose the story behind the figures. However, itcannot explain the fundamental changes that have been taking place, as politicsexplain much activity in this industry today and have consequences far beyondthe boundaries of the industry.
