ARRK has purchased two new CNC machines at its Composite Centre in Nuneaton in view of increasing demand for carbon. The machines will help company grow. One of the machines is meant to support an increase in demand from motorsport, telecommunications and aerospace industries and the other will increase the site’s carbon machined components volume.

A 5 axis UMC machine, with an RPM of 12000, has been purchased to support an increase in demand from motorsport, telecommunications and aerospace industries. ARRK’s Nuneaton site has seen significant growth during 2019 both in terms of new customers and enquiries for technological advancements in engineering expertise and composite solutions.

The second CNC machine has 3 axis capability and has been purchased to increase the site’s carbon machined components volume. Demand for parts has increased significantly during 2018-2019 as has the requirement to use recycled carbon and complex structures, especially from the automotive sector.

Paul Patterson, general manager at ARRK’s Composite Centre, commented: “The investment in these machines demonstrates our commitment to provide a first-class service for our customers and meet the growth in carbon products from a wide variety of industry sectors. By using some of the latest machinery, along with the innovative methods and expertise of our engineering team, we aim to be well placed to support our customers’ ongoing needs.”

“The investment is just one part of the Nuneaton strategic plan for both investment and growth over the next three years. All of the team in Nuneaton is excited by the new, innovative methods being used, and projected growth for the site,” Patterson added.

ARRK’s Nuneaton Technical Centre provides a range of CNC machining, tooling and composite production solutions across a wide variety of industry sectors. Specialising in providing a niche, personalised service, the Nuneaton site also offers a large in-house paint capability to support customers’ additional requirements.
