AstenJohnson, a global manufacturer of paper machine clothing, advanced and filtration fabrics, filaments, paper machine equipment, and custom-rebuild solutions, has appointed Kevin Frank as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AstenHoldings, effective immediately.

Prior to AstenJohnson, Mr. Frank held a number of roles with Voith, one of the world's leading suppliers of hydroelectric equipment. He most recently served as the CEO of Voith Hydro with responsibility for the United States. Under his leadership, the business grew significant sales and market share in a very competitive market.

AstenJohnson chairman, Bill Finn said “Kevin is an exceptional talent. His depth of knowledge and experience will bring a fresh perspective to our business and growth prospects.”

“His passion for growth, experience in paper-related industries, and commitment to continuing the AstenJohnson culture will help us serve our customers even more effectively for years to come. I’m excited about what he will bring to AstenJohnson as we execute our evolving business strategy,” he said.

Mr. Frank said, “Being asked to lead AstenJohnson is a privilege that I don’t take lightly. I am excited to get started. The needs of our customers are varied and demanding. We have an enormous opportunity to serve them in new and different ways. We must be fierce advocates for our customers, work every day to exceed their expectations and continuously earn their trust.”

Mr. Frank will replace Dan Cappel as the CEO and assume his responsibilities as CEO and will report directly to Bill Finn.

As a supplier to the paper industry, AstenJohnson employs more than 2,000 people and is located in Charleston, SC, with six manufacturing plants in the USA, three in Canada, three in Europe, one in China, and one in Thailand. The company’s R&D centers are in Canada and Belgium. (GK)
