Composites UK, the trade association for UK composites industry, has released the programme for its new ‘Composites 4.0’ event to be held on June 4 at the MTC, Coventry, UK. The event will look at Industry 4.0 and the opportunities it holds for UK composites companies. Speakers at the event include IBM, Make UK, Siemens, Mouldbox, Airborne, Element Logic and 3D Systems.

Industry 4.0 is the 4th industrial revolution - a smart factory initiative that is driving the use of cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, cloud based and cognitive computing to create virtual copies of the physical environment. This intelligently monitors and controls physical processes, delivering industrially focused decision support systems.

“Composites 4.0 is a new addition to our event calendar. It provides an opportunity for composite manufacturers to see how they can react to market changes quickly as well as increase efficiency and productivity across a broad range of business processes,” said Claire Whysall, communications manager at Composites UK in a press release.
