Kudos, a US-based sustainable diaper manufacturer, has raised $2.4 million in seed funding from investors like Foundation Capital, XFund, PJC, Precursor Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, SV Angel, Underscore VC, Alpha Bridge Ventures, April Underwood among others. It is the first disposable diaper to earn the cotton natural seal from Cotton Inc, said the company.

Kudos diapers are made with 4x more plant-based materials than the leading disposable diaper and are free of harmful ingredients, said Amrita Saigal, founder and CEO of Kudos, in a post shared on the company’s official social media handle.

“Two years ago, Emily Monroe, Moira Finicane, James Keighley, and I set out to build the most natural, leak-defying diaper on the market. Surprisingly, with most diapers out there (even the most natural ones), everything that touches your baby’s skin is 100 per cent plastic. Kudos is the first and only disposable diaper to have earned the cotton natural seal for having your baby sit in 100 per cent breathable cotton all day. Not plastic,” Saigal added in the post.

Kudos diapers have also been certified to the strictest safety standard, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, the company said on its website. The company’s DoubleDry tech with 2 layers instead of the traditional 1 prevents leaks and keeps baby dry.
