Europe's Ahlstrom launches new FibRoc solution for plasterboard market

Europe-based fibre solutions company Ahlstrom has launched FibRoc plasterboard that is a protective and durable solution for high-performance plasterboard applications. This solution is a combination of glass, synthetic, and natural fibres. It is designed to offer dimensional stability and protection in application areas and reduce environmental impact.

“Our high-performance solutions for plasterboards deliver excellent fire and moisture resistance,” said Pierre Mary, vice president, nonwovens. “Delivering protection against flame spread, protecting against moisture and producing no mould growth in wet and humid environments, ensuring better indoor air quality.”

“Our extensive and sustainable product range also reduces environmental impact through options for formaldehyde and fluorocarbon free solutions, decreasing the use of chemicals,” said Pekka Helynranta, vice president, glass fibre tissue.

“Our unique manufacturing and technological platforms enable flexible product development delivering customised solutions tailor-made to customer’s needs,” Pierre and Pekka concluded.
