US based manufacturer of tissues, First Quality Tissue said its expansion projects announced earlier this year, to add two TAD paper machines, are right on track.

The first of the two TAD machines is being installed at its Anderson facility in South Carolina and is expected to begin commercial production in November 2015.

First Quality has selected its Lock Haven facility in Pennsylvania as the location for the second TAD paper machine and is currently in discussion with state officials to finalize details.

According to the tissue producer, the addition of these two machines will provide it with the needed scale and flexibility to meet customer demand for ultra-premium tissue and towel products.

“Since inception, almost eleven years ago, First Quality has been committed to providing ultra-premium tissue and towel products to customers in the US, Canada and a few global locations,” it said.

With the addition of these two machines, the number of TAD machines installed at First Quality will reach seven with an estimated capacity of 500,000 tons. (AR)
