Kordsa Global shows composites solutions at JEC

Kordsa Global showed customised fabrics, prepreg solutions and applications in aerospace, automotive, sports equipments, wind turbines and maritime at the recently concluded JEC 2016.

“With more than 100 countries represented, leading companies had the opportunity to share their innovative applications at the fair,” a Kordsa Global press release stated.

Kordsa Global has transformed the tire reinforcement know how it acquired in 1973, into a wide product range and a flexible production capability.

Meanwhile, the company also set up the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence.

As per the company, its Composite Technologies Center of Excellence will be the first development facility in Turkey, to bring together university-industry collaboration under the same roof.

The Center aims to serve stakeholders throughout different stages of the R&D cycle, based on the customer's requirements, starting with R&D, continuing with prototyping, and ending in mass production.

“Sabanci University faculty members and students as well as Kordsa Global R&D staff will pursue productive research at the Center,” Kordsa Global noted. (AR)
