Kordsa in BIST Sustainability Index for 3rd year

Kordsa, a global player of tyre, construction reinforcement and composites technologies market, is among 50 most sustainable companies listed in Borsa Istanbul for the period between November 2018-October 2019. Having improved its ratings on environmental criteria, Kordsa is now in BIST Sustainability Index for the third year in a row, this year.

BIST (Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index) is formed by the assessment of the BIST 100 companies by an independent audit company based on the international sustainability criteria and measurement of their sustainability performance.

“Kordsa has been, once more, recognised among the top 50 companies in the corporate sustainability performance for the period of 2018-2019. After the launch of its fourth Sustainability Report communicating its environmental, social and economic impacts, Kordsa has been included for the third year in a row on the BIST Sustainability Index,” the company said in a press release.

Kordsa has been honoured with the highest score in environmental management criteria and has increased its rating to medium level in the environmental reporting criteria, the release added.

As the worldwide leader of the tyre reinforcement technologies market, Kordsa carries out production through a vast area from the US to Asia-Pacific and supplies its reinforcement technologies to the whole world. With its business processes all based on R&D and innovation, Kordsa has 740 patent applications world-wide. (RKS)
