Lubrizol launches new powder coating additives

Lubrizol Performance Coatings, a subsidiary of Lubrizol Corporation has launched new additive technology for powder coating applications. They are PowderAdd 9553 matting agent and PowderAdd 9566 texturing agent. Both the products can save powder coating producers, time and money as they are tailor made additives for small batch manufacture without extrusion.

According to Lubrizol, PowderAdd 9553 is a novel matting agent that provides consistently reproducible and uniform matting, which quickly turns glossy powders into matted powders and can reduce production costs and inventory requirements for small batch manufacturing.

The company will show both the additives at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg and also at PCI's Powder Coating Technical Conference being held in Indianapolis. (AR)
