National Composites Centre (NCC), a UK-based national centre delivering innovation in the design and rapid manufacturing of composites, has announced new dates for its composites training courses, including the new course: Introduction to Composites Repair. Strict social distancing guidelines will be in place for all courses, as per Government guidance.

As the use of composites grows across different industries, the need for effective repair and maintenance is becoming increasingly important, NCC stated in its press release. Aimed at technicians and engineers who are new to composites repair, or would like to strengthen their understanding of the essential principles of composites repair, the Introduction to Repair course will allow delegates to develop their theoretical knowledge and practical experience of the most common types of damage, damage detection methods and different types of repair.

Other courses being run from August include Introduction to Composite Mould Tool Production, Introduction to Manual Prepreg Techniques and Appreciation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for Composites.

All courses will be led by composites specialists and involve a combination of classroom-based theory and hands-on practical work at the NCC’s state-of-the-art facility in Bristol.
