NetComposites unveils program for 'CompIC'composites forum

NetComposites, a research and training services provider to the composites materials industry, has announced the final programme for its latest conference, ‘CompIc’- Composites in Construction - a one day international conference and networking opportunity for organisations and individuals working with and in the construction industry.

The program for the forum is set to examine the biggest barriers to the use of composites in construction and what progress is being made in overcoming the same.

The conference, which will take place on February 3, 2015 at The Park Hotel, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, will look at the current and future use of composites in construction and the benefits they provide to the construction industry.

Keynotes for the day will be provided by David Kendall of Optima Projects who will discuss “Evolution or Revolution of Composites in Construction” and Mark Hobbs of Gurit who will look at “Overcoming the Challenges of Using FRP in Large Architectural Structures.”

The day will focus on materials and design, testing and norms, case studies, and will close with a panel discussion. Confirmed speakers are from Arup, Royal Haskoning, Fiberline Composites, Strongwell, SP Technical Research Institute, Nord Composites, Jacobs, J Murphy & Sons, Atkins and Airex, according to reports.

The conference is designed to introduce and educate visitors which include architects, asset owners, composite manufacturers and material suppliers, consultancies and designers to name a few, on the use of fibre reinforced composites in construction.
