Ontex to regroup its production sites in France

Ontex, a leading global producer of disposable personal hygiene solutions, has revealed plans to regroup its current production sites in the North of France.

The project consists of grouping its two current sites, Arras and Wasquehal, into a new site in Dourges and Noyelles Godault, located halfway between the current sites. This new factory is expected to allow the company to further improve its production apparatus and better serve its French and international customers, while also improving working conditions.

The factory is expected to provide around 350 jobs with a total investment of around €45 million in buildings, factory layout, and machinery.

The laying of the foundation stone is scheduled for September 2015 and the end of construction for the summer of 2016. The starting of production lines is scheduled to occur in 2016 and 2017.

In France, Ontex Healthcare currently has industrial activities in Arras and Wasquehal (Lille Healthcare). Both sites are specialised in the production and distribution of adult incontinence products for healthcare institutions and distributors. (GK)
