Scott Bader will showcase its adhesive, resin, gelcoat and tooling ranges at JEC World 2020. Of particular interest will be Crestafire, an innovative composite FST system for the rail and building and construction markets. Crestafire products provide high fire, smoke and toxic fume performance and meet the stringent European and Global FST standards.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see an internal passenger train door manufactured with the new EN45545 certified Crestafire system: Crestapol 1211 urethane acrylate resin and Fireguard gelcoat 78PA.

Scott Bader’s industry renowned adhesive ranges include Crestabond and Crestomer structural adhesives, along with Crestafix bonding pastes. They will be launching Crestabond M7-04, their latest primerless MMA structural adhesive at JEC World. Crestabond M7-04 will bond with a wide range of substrates including galvanised metals and offers a short working time of three-five minutes and a fast fixture time of 12 minutes. This adhesive demonstrates excellent impact, peel, shear, compressive strength and fatigue resistance properties across all bonded parts. An automotive spoiler for the BYD Tang II model manufactured in China and bonded together using Scott Bader’s Crestabond M1-04 adhesive will be on display.

Other key products include Crystic Ecogel ultra low styrene spray gelcoats, including the zero styrene Ecogel S0 PA grade, Crestapol resins for tough lightweight carbon fibre components and Crestamould matched tooling systems.

There will also be a hologram unit showcasing the first ever carbon fibre curved pultruded bumper beam used in the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and manufactured using Crestapol urethane acrylate resins.
