Shape Machining will be working with top UK Formula Student team Oxford Brookes Racing (OBR) by providing accurate CNC machined patterns and Rohacell foams to support manufacture of carbon composite structures used on OBR’s 2019 car. Shape provides engineering, design, tooling and manufacturing services in various industrial sectors that use carbon fibres.

“We are really proud of our association with the Oxford Brookes Racing team and with the Engineering Department of the University. The quality of their car this year is a compliment to the whole OBR team,” said managing director of Shape Machining, Peter McCool in a media statement. “Working closely with UK universities is a great way for Shape to challenge and help develop the young engineers of the future.” (PC)
