Tarasafe, a company providing complete solutions in flame retardant (FR) protective clothing, is offering a new range of FR clothing compliant to latest norm of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, standard for electrical safety in workplace. Compliance with NFPA 70E prevents injuries and casualties due to electrocution, shocks, arc flashes etc.

“Tarasafe offers a broad selection of fabrics and garment design options that are tested to meet the NFPA 70E requirements for protection including FR coveralls, FR shirts, FR jackets, FR sweaters and FR hoods,” said the company in a press release.

NFPA 70E, published in 2015, states that employees should wear FR clothing wherever there is a possible exposure to an electric arc flash. This requires employees working on or near energised parts and equipment to wear FR clothing that meets the requirements of ASTM F1506 and is appropriate to the potential energy of the hazard.

“Keeping your team in compliance with all of the latest FR safety standards does not mean sacrificing comfort. At Tarasafe, we’re dedicated to not only protect end users with high performance FRC but also provide with comfortable, cutting edge products with style and function,” said Basant Lohia, managing director of TaraSafe International.
