US-based Burlington Performance Apparel will be showcasing Synatural at the ongoing Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Salt Lake City, Utah. A greener stretch option, Synatural is a unique fabric collection that features planet-positive yarn technology with natural fibre-like aesthetics, engineered for adaptable fabric solutions with lasting comfort and multifunctional performance.

Burlington’s stretch yarn technology includes custom weaves, recycled nylon, and more using Sorona, a partially bio-based polymer that delivers increased stretch performance. The fabrics in this collection include a minimum of 30 per cent recycled content and 23 per cent bio-based products, according to a press release by Burlington.

“We’re excited to introduce a new collection directly aligned with Burlington’s 2025 sustainability goals and the sustainability objectives of our customers,” said Andrew Hicks, business manager for performance apparel. “At Burlington, we’re committed to creating new, sustainable innovations to make the world a better place.”

“We are excited to partner with fabric producers like Burlington who are finding innovative ways to make sustainable garments available to their customers. Their use of CovationBio Sorona allows them to offer a more eco-conscious product without compromising performance. Sorona delivers exceptional stretch and recovery and enables a garment to keep its original shape longer and is wrinkle resistant. And because it’s partially plant-based, it reduces its impact on the environment,” said Binita Bhuta, vice president, marketing, and sustainability, CovationBio.

As working from home becomes a trend that’s here to stay, consumers continue to favour active apparel that can transition from the office to the outdoors. The fabrics in Burlington’s Synatural collection deliver a technical, soft, knit-like aesthetic for optimal comfort.

Burlington Labs technologies offer matrix-friendly and customisable performance finishes that enhance the product throughout its life cycle.

Visitors can check out the new Synatural sustainable collection at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Salt Lake City, Utah until January 12, 2023.
