Arville is near completing the latest phase in a major overhaul of its dedicated spread-coating plant as part of a long-term project to invest in extra capacity. Phase two has seen the build and installation of two additional production lines, doubling the available capacity. The expansion follows a £1million upgrade of the Lancashire facility last spring.

The expansion comes hot on the heels of a £1million upgrade of the Lancashire facility last spring. With new work flooding in from the UK and overseas, the additional investment was part of a strategic plan to maintain consistent lead times in the face of growing demand.

Group head of marketing, Andy Smith, explains, “We produce multiple – and often very complex – specifications at any one time. Each individual job can be very different from one another so it is important that we remain flexible and have the capacity to tackle the workload.”

“We’ve ploughed further investment into the facility to pave way for even greater growth. However, as our business evolves, it is vital that we invest not only in our plant and machinery but also our people. Alongside this is the appointment of key technical staff who will further boost the knowledge within our team,” Smith adds.

The appointments will take Arville to a 90-strong team, with three sites throughout the North of England. Established in 1954 – and with a best-in-class approach to the design, weaving, finishing, coating and fabrication of technical textiles – Arville has a customer base that covers over 50 countries worldwide.
