Arville will showcase a range of new, specially-designed, technical fabrics at the four-day AFAC19 fire and emergency management conference in Melbourne from August 27-30, 2019, for emergency services decision-makers in Australia. Arville is specialising in the design, manufacture, and finishing of technical woven textiles for demanding applications.

Key personnel in Australasia’s firefighting, police, military, and first-responder sectors – senior level executives as well as frontline, operational staff – are set to converge at the show in Melbourne convention and exhibition centre. Products to be unveiled at the exhibition stand will include our newly developed Arville 4WS (four-way-stretch) and Arville ComfortShell for firefighter uniforms, the company said in a press release.

Both fabrics offer sophisticated thermal protection and moisture management, as well as a high level of flexibility, movement, and comfort. The new developments have been patent protected by Arville and are expected to attract strong interest in a market which has suffered from a lack of any real innovation in recent years.
AFAC19, powered by Interschutz – titled ‘A shift to the new norm: riding the wave of change’ – also involves Deutsche Messe and Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC.

Attendees will include representatives of Country Fire Authority, Emergency Management Victoria, Forest Fire Management Victoria – Department of Environment Land Water and Planning, Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board, Parks Victoria, and Victoria State Emergency Service.

“AFAC19 is gearing up to be a great event. It is back in Melbourne for the first time in six years, and larger than ever. A packed conference programme, and multiple opportunities for networking – both with decision-makers and end users – make it an essential fixture for the industry,” Andy Smith, Arville’s head of marketing said.

“We are delighted to be a part of the show, taking our place among exhibitors from all over the world. Our track record in designing and developing fabrics with specific end-uses in mind is long and distinguished – and we look forward to bringing fresh ideas, and demonstrating our latest offerings for the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) sector,” Smith said.
