Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, one of the leading international distributors of specialty chemical products and solutions worldwide, has taken over Norwegian distributor Lindberg & Lund, a company which imports and distributes construction adhesives, lubricants, solvents, composite material, casting and potting resins and a wide variety of specialty chemicals.

“The range of products and services offered by the Lindberg & Lund Group perfectly complements our portfolio in the area of performance products,” explains Peter Wilkes, managing director of Biesterfeld Spezialchemie. “Furthermore, this step will allow us to expand our strategic presence in Europe and to extend to Scandinavia and Finland. Alongside its excellent market reputation, Lindberg & Lund is very consistent with our supplier portfolio and has a company culture that is well suited to Biesterfeld. We are delighted to be able to continue this successful company with its experienced and qualified employees over the coming years.”

Thomas Arnold, CEO of Biesterfeld, adds: “this acquisition is in line with our goal of continuously expanding our geographic footprint. Our growth strategy allows us to strengthen our core competencies and reinforce and expand our focus on high-quality, application-specific products and service-oriented solutions for our customers”.

“I am very happy that, in Biesterfeld, we have found a new owner and partner that will continue to develop our business over the long term. Both companies can build valuable synergies together with their almost identical business models,” explains Steinar Lindberg, majority shareholder of the Lindberg & Lund Group. “For us, it was very important to find a buyer that shares our company values as a family-run business. With Biesterfeld at the helm, our company will continue to be led in line with our values over the coming years.” (SV)
