ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, announced today that Coating Excellence International (cei) will merge into its Prolamina brand, creating a unified Extrusion Division.

The change reflects the combined capabilities of ProAmpac's Extrusion Division, and better enables the company to leverage synergies with its other brand divisions – Ampac and Tulsack.

As a flexible packaging and technical products company, based in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, legacy cei specialises in wide web extrusion coating and laminating of film, foil, paperboard, and nonwovens. This expertise, coupled with Prolamina's technology-driven, innovative, flexible packaging solutions creates a leading North American packaging division serving the food, medical and specialty markets, according to a press release.

Greg Tucker, ProAmpac CEO said, “Combining these brands unites ProAmpac's Extrusion Division, allowing us to better leverage our expertise in laminations. We brought together two exceptional organisations to create a world-class division. Customers can expect expanded capabilities, extra capacity and outstanding service from the joined Prolamina brand.”

Formed through the recent merger of Prolamina Corporation, Ampac Packaging LLC, and Coating Excellence International, ProAmpac primarily operates under the Prolamina, Ampac, and Tulsack brands. Together, these brands offer enhanced product offerings unparalleled in the food, pet care and medical markets, along with secure packaging for cash management, loss prevention and transportation of valuables and documents, and retail shopping bags.
