The Fibre Patch Placement specialist Cevotec has earned DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, which ensures manufacturers of high-performance composites that its FPP systems enable the quality-controlled automation of manual production. The accreditation covers the implementation of a quality management system that allows Cevotec to grow sustainably.

This also allows Cevotec to continue to offer its customers the quality products and services they expect.

“Particularly in the aerospace industry, highest quality standards are an absolute must. This is in particular true for those high-performance composites which are produced on our systems,” explains Thorsten Groene, managing director of Cevotec. “With a certified quality management system, we not only fulfil the quality expectations of our customers, but also pursue systematically improvement potentials in our organisation.”

“As developer and manufacturer of Fibre Patch Placement production systems, we at Cevotec had quality in our focus from the very beginning: the quality of our technical systems and software, but even more the quality of composite components produced with them. Now our team made their commitment to quality official with the ISO 9001:2015 certificate,” Groene continues.

“We place great importance on putting the requirements of the quality management into practice in our daily work, instead of having them exist only on paper,” adds Christian Fleischfresser, who as operations lead is responsible for the certification process. The QMS at Cevotec includes the planning, control and monitoring of value creation and development, structured supplier management, continuous process control and risk management. Also in focus: knowledge management.

For a company in such a highly specialised field of business, having a structure that promotes the documentation and structured processing of knowledge is essential to continuous growth. “In this way, we ensure that the expert knowledge of our teams grows and can be shared at all times,” explains Fleischfresser.

“The ISO 9001 certificate reaffirms our promise to manufacturers of high-performance composites: our FPP systems enable the quality-controlled automation of their manual production,” concludes Groene.
