INDA has appointed Chris Plotz as its new director of education & technical affairs. Plotz will direct, oversee and expand education and training programmes for all levels of industry members, manage the international harmonised standards activities, product stewardship activities, technical advisory board, and other areas that INDA operates for its members.

Plotz is a business leader with 19 years of technical nonwovens related experience in global product management and product development within leading manufacturers including Parker Hannifin, ITW Pro Brands and BHA Technologies. Most recently, he was the director of innovation with The Green Edge, management consultants, where he led product life cycle activities for sanitising technologies, according to a press release by INDA.

Plotz has a master of textiles degree from North Carolina State University, a master in business administration from Rockhurst University in Missouri and a bachelor of industrial engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is the author of five wet wipe patents and co-author of several patents pending.

“We look forward to having Plotz on board to lead, direct and refine educational & technical activities to meet the evolving needs of our industry,” said Dave Rousse, INDA president. “Plotz will directly engage with industry members to shape and refine INDA’s educational and technology services to better serve all industry sectors and help us manage the growing issue of plastics in the environment.”
