Ahlstrom-Munksjö has consolidated its filtration business by completing investment at its Binzhou plant in China. The machine rebuild at its filtration material production line adds production capacity and new capabilities that expands the product portfolio. The line will deliver the highest performing oil, fuel, air and industrial filtration materials.

The production line strengthens Ahlstrom-Munksjö's offering and service for the Asian customers. The investment plan was initially announced in January 2020.

"This investment reinforces our commitment to our customers in Asia," says Kathrin Hueppe, head of Asia, Filtration and Performance Solutions business area. "Improving our capability in the Binzhou plant allows us to serve their growing needs in high-performance filtration.”

“In response to growing customer demand, both in the transportation and industrial filtration markets, Ahlstrom-Munksjö has in the recent years strengthened its product offering with unique capabilities and continuously invested to offer delivery security for customers globally,” says Giuseppe Costa, vice president, Filtration Asia and EMEA. “This investment is part of our plan to strengthen our leading position in filtration materials.”
