Lucy Houchin, director of corporate marketing for IDI Composites International (IDI) and Norplex-Micarta has been appointed to the board of directors of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA). ACMA provides information to the composites industry, lobby for the composites industry, and develops and expands markets for composite materials.

Houchin will serve a three-year term. Joining IDI in 2016, she currently serves in multiple roles with the company as the director of corporate marketing for IDI and its sister organisation, Norplex-Micarta, and as the managing director of IDI UK in both roles, her work is grounded in uncompromising values and aimed at delivering meaningful results, according to a press release by IDI.

Houchin has been active with the ACMA serving on the CAMX steering committee since October 2019 and has recently joined the Education and Events Committee. Prior to joining IDI, she worked as a management consultant with Thomas P. Miller and Associates. She holds a master’s of business administration degree from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree from Butler University.

“It’s an honour to join the dedicated and talented team of industry leaders on the ACMA board of directors. I’m hopeful my expertise and energy can contribute to furthering the ACMA’s mission to drive growth in the composites industry,” Houchin said.
