Mexican firm Desserto launches cactus leather seats for Mercedes

Adriano Di Marti, the Mexican company that created Desserto, has launched the new Mercedes Vision EQXX in Las Vegas at the ongoing CES 2022 show. The seats of the car are fully upholstered with Dessertex, an automotive material made from cactus. It is the most efficient Mercedes-Benz ever built and marks a new expression of efficiency in interior design.

Dessertex shows a way forward for luxury design that conserves resources and is in balance with nature, the company said in a press release.
